MUST... HAVE... NOW

Hello Monday,
Actually no, not hello! I hate Mondays! I hate everything that has to do with Mondays! Especially after a 4-day holiday! I weep! Weep I tell ya! But I gotta say, my weekend was pretty darn good. It was missing a certain someone, but what to do, right? I had a great time with the Bahrain/London/Saudi/Kuwaiti crew (sorry guys, didn't know how to categorize your international a**es), excited about a certain PFFer who will be getting in today, and some quality time with the bffs from high school! It's gonna be a long week that's all I can say. One thing's for sure though, I am definitely getting old, this whole partying till the wee hours of the morning, just doesn't do it for me anymore (actually I just can't handle it) *sigh* !

Anyway, I'm going to kick start this dreadful Monday with a few must-haves for the season (not because they really are must-haves, I just really MUST HAVE them). I'll do it in a series of posts because they're too many. I'm starting with the following items:

Still obsessed with with Mulberry's Oversized Alexa leather bag but this time in black.

I normally hate, and I mean HATE pointy shoes, but when it's Lanvin you make an exception. And when they look like these you melt and you buy. They're perfect.

What's a new wardrobe without wedges? And from experience I say wedges can't get any more comfortable than Michael Kors. And these suede ones are beautiful.
I know! I know! My obsessions are mainly shoes, but can you blame me? Look at these Marc by Marc Jacobs two-tone leather loafers. I mean really! How can you not drool? I think, loafers are the new brogues for this A/W!

Ahhhh Stella! The things you do to me with your fabulous designs! I'm very much a blazer person, especially over-sized and this hits the spot! The cut, the colour, the simplicity! Divine!

And finally, this cute Mademoiselle scarf from Marc by Marc Jacobs. Isn't it adorable?

To wrap it up, I will leave you with another new obsession of mine. Enjoy!

Later!

How to be 'Chic & Trendy'

I am loving the trends for 2010. It is still a bit 80s inspired which is more of a reason to fall in love with it. Here's a list of the trends starting in Spring and making their way to Fall and Winter (most of them anyway) and my favorite outfits off the runway, get with the the list, and look Fabulouuuussssssss!

Army Jackets One of my favorite trends for the season. Check out Balmain's fabulous take on the army look

Sheer, Lace and Crochet it doesn't have to be a full outfit, look at Nina Ricci's Skirt with peeping lace at the bottom, it's stunning) Dolce and Gabbana's shoes are to die for. The Prada baga are stunning even though the second looks like a copy of Valentino's Lace bag a couple of years ago. And The cute Reiss T shirt with a pair of jeans and booties would look fab.

Florals Check out Stella Mccartney's Beautiful floral dress.

Stripes They can be risky but if worn properly? You have the ultimate chic outfit. My favorite striped outfits is from the Givenchy runway (below).

Black and White Hermes (below) makes me want to learn tennis so I can wear the outfit. It's beautiful.

Neutrals It's always Chloe's neautral or nude colours that draw my attention the most.

Futuristic Not so keen on this trend, but Alexander McQueen pulled quite the show with this trend.

Printed or Patterned Pants Dries Van Noten did quite a job with prints and patterns.

Underwear (Inside out)Sexy feminie corsets and in some cases bras? It's not a trend for everyone that's for sure. (Below from left to right: Jean Paul Gaultier, Loewe, Christian Dior)

Drapes I'm a big big fan of draped clothing especially dresses. I find it flattering, fits all body types, and it's so feminine, the idea of having a piece of cloth draped over your body. Especially if it has any sort of embellishments such as Givenchy below.

All those trends along side Denim, Denim, Denim, Biker Jackets, Hot Pants, High Slits, Boyfriend blazers, Bows and Bunny ears, Wedges, Short nails, bleached eyebrows (I really didn't get the point of that one), gladiator shoes, high waist (hoorahhh), Harem pants, Ruffles, paisleys, fringes, Greek style dresses, one-shoulder/asymmetrical (double hoorah) etc..
