Hibernation

Ok so summer was long and exhausting but so much fun, December? It was like a compressed summer.. Work everyday, out everynight.. I think my liver went on strike a couple of times. Everyone comes from out of town, so being the locals, we have to entertain, and entertain I did! Then New Year's, and despite everyone's opinion about it being crowded, HUSH was definitely the place to be, AGAIN (last year's Hush Party was the best in town). The music was out of this world, the theme was great, and what can I say, I have a weakness for the boys organizing it (Black Sheep and Republique). And if they throw a party next year, I'll be the first one there. So come January, and off to London I go. Wasn't how I planned my break to be, but it's London so I won't complain. One of my nights there I went to Supperclub (I'll blog about that another time) and I realized then and there, that 2010 was a year for change. A makeover (not necessarily physical) and I decided to take life less seriously. So break ended, back to work I went and hibernation began. Barely going out, sleep after work, dvd's all night. more sleep. My body seriously crashed oh and I also got sick. That wasn't fun either. So, to everyone who has an inner bear, enjoy hibernation period, because it'll end soon and before you know it, your liver will sue you!

Jewelry with an Attitude (part I)

So I have brilliant friends.. I do.. Smart, funny, beautiful and extremely creative and talented. They are the Mukhi Sisters. They launched their own brand to distinguish themselves from their parent's brand (Effy's). Oh I just realized, I didn't mention what it is they do and what their line is. Silly me.. Jewelry of course. After all Diamonds are a girl's bestfriend. They're not accessories per say since they're real precious and semi precious stones, but they are chic and pretty and let's avant garde as opposed to the other jewellers in the market. So anyway, you have the check their stuff out. Besides their amazing stuff, the ad itself was really good. So different. It's like they cater to the beautiful, independent, feminine and stylish women of our generation. Yayyyyyy us!

Anyway, see for yourself. Isn't it amazing? Wait till you see their next ad. But I'll keep that as a surprise. Ta ta for now! X

This is.... Bambi.

This is my first official blog! I was inspired by a good friend of mine, Aysha, who has a fabulous blog called PrettyFashionForward that I read religiously, and so I decided what the hell. I've got nothing to lose. It's like a diary that sometimes replies.

So here goes, I recently did, what a lot of girls dread doing... I chopped my hair off. And it's not that very blah hair cut that every other girl has (almost kinda carre, long from the front, short from the back). No no.. It's more liek a short bob, Rihanna meets the ex WAG queen! And as much as I love it, it is kind of high maintenance, and why is it that no one knows how to blow dry short hair? I've been to a few, and I ended up looking like a mushroom. *sigh*

But girls, 2010, is a year for change. Do something drastic, Change your hair colour.. chop it off.. make a fashion statement (if you have sense of style otherwise, stick to the new hair do) and if you don't want to change something physical, by all means, change something in your life.. cut out bad habits.. break your routine.. be bolder.. be confident.. meet more people.. Enjoy life and don't settle for second best in anything..

And those were a few of my new year's resolutions...
